What Did J.T. Mean To You?
I can't speak for everyone, but personally, he was perhaps the ULTIMATE actor! I've been a longtime fan of his, and when he died, my heart broke because I knew that movies would forever lose what made a movie worth watching: J.T.'s presence.
To this day, I have a difficult time watching "The Negotiator" for two reasons: 1) it was his final movie; 2) in his death scene, there's something so "final" about it. I end up grieving each time. I miss seeing him in movies, or whatever he graced us with his presence in. I've lost the desire to see new movies because the anticipation of whether he'd be in it is gone. I can recall learning when he'd be in a movie and saying, "cool. J.T.'s in this one. I bet he's a butthead in it" and sure enough, he was. I hope I didn't ramble on too much. I just wanted to share some thoughts about him. He's been gone 8 years now, and I still think about what movies he may have made, had he lived. All I know is, I'd gladly watch them. He had such presence and charisma, that one couldn't help but drop everything they were doing and devote their attention to the movie he was in, regardless of how bad it was. Go fly with the angels, J.T. |

RE: What Did J.T. Mean To You?
Many of us who knew him personally can honestly say he was a great and warm wonderful human being. Much unlike his characters, he was honestly witty, very colorful in life and just one of the nicest people you could ever know. I know this, because I spent considerable time with him when he was in town. In a meaning he was like family and yes during the holidays when he was by himself in his estate, I brought him all kinds of goodies which he greatly enjoyed.
Many here who do know the real JT can atest to everything stated in this posting. Today, J.T. lives on not only in movies and tv shows, but here in cyberspace as well. Before his passing, he had started really getting into using the net, and found it awesome as a communications tool. So we all miss this great guy whether we knew him personally or from the screen. But just know that somewhere, some place, he is probably reading your posts and smiling at the fact that so many around the globe loved him for the person and great talent he was, and remains as J.T. Walsh in spirits. American Author, Poet and Filmwriter "Mark Paul" Sebar |

RE: What Did J.T. Mean To You?
Awesome! I think while his titles will eventually fade, there will be moments preserved on youtube type sites that will carry on for many years. Eventually when they perfect the simulated actors via computer software in the near future, you will see him return to screen. Yeah not the real deal, but as close as we can get and it will be lots of fun.
